Kaia FIT Murrieta: Sabrina

My name is Sabrina and I started my weight loss journey with Kaia in October of 2016. For as long as I can remember, I've had issues with my weight and subsequently, my self confidence. I've been known to wear jeans and baggy clothes regardless of the weather because I hated showing my legs. I grew up with asthma so extreme activity was always an issue for me, which I can honestly say now I used as an excuse to even do general activities. I never cared about what I ate and as I grew older, I often used my teaching career and personal life changes as reasons to not take care of myself. I never had the time was my motto. When I was pregnant with my first child, I gained 50lbs. It took me a year and a half to lose just 20 of those pounds before I became pregnant with my second and I gained 50 more with him. What should have been one of the happiest times of my life was mentally my worst. I started to feel more fatigued, irritable and my general health that I always easily maintained started to decline. I knew I needed a change for myself and for my family. I tried to work out on my own, but I never had a consistent enough routine or the drive to push myself during my sessions to really see results. I found out about Kaia through a few mutual friends and decided to try it out. I honestly instantly fell in love with working out there. The ladies in my classes and all of my coaches welcomed me, encouraged me, and motivated me to push myself to the next level. I've started building my running stamina with I Kan Run and hope to join my new friends in a 5K next year. Beyond just the workouts, they've provided me with invaluable nutrition advice and general health practices. I'm more comfortable in my skin and have even started to show my legs more! I've lost 10lbs since I've started and can't wait to see where I continue to go. I needed the accountability. I needed the consistency. I needed the support. Now, I have it and I feel so incredibly fortunate to be a Kaia sister!
